This is Emerson White. She is a beautiful, sweet, very sick 2 year old girl. She was born with an unknown metabolic disorder and has never been able to take any nourishment by mouth. Her mother went to high school with me in Michigan but they are currently at the University of Omaha Transplant Center.
Tonight is her second chance at life. She is having a quadruple organ transplant around midnight. This is her SECOND quadruple transplant, the first was last June and some short months later most of the organs failed requiring her to relist for yet another donor with organs her size.
I can't imagine the stress a surgery like this puts on a family or a tiny 2 year olds body. Please pray for her. To read her story...http://www.cotaforemersonw.com/node/46.
